TIPS FOR SPEAKERS

We run the Bobcatsss2021 conference using the Zoom platform.

Presenter and listeners are online at the same time in a synchronous live session, taking place at a specific hour.

Al the speakers must share the screen during the presentation to show their own PPT.

Synchronous Presentation consists of a live video presentation where authors present (optionally, through the help of Power Point Presentations, images, slides, YouTube videos etc.) the contents of their Papers and Pecha Kucha to the other participants joining in a Virtual Room.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SYNCHRONOUS PRESENTATIONS

Please consider that you should have one to two slides for every minute of your presentation so you are advised to prepare 20 to 25 slides maximum.

Make sure your English is adequate for delivering the presentation. You should not prepare a self presentation as the moderator will introduce presenters. You should start your presentation highlighting its objectives and end it, summarizing it. Visual in conjunction with voice is the main tool the speaker uses to involve participants and communicate contents. It is recommended to limit the amount of text in favour of visual material. Make sure that the background is tidy, distraction-free and quiet. Do not put a bright light behind you (e.g. a window): your face will be almost invisible. Dress professionally. Respect timing: make sure you finish your speech in due time.

Please remember that your presentation must last 15 minutes.

At the end of each session, all the participants in the session can ask questions and make comments.

The deadline to send the Power Point Presentation is January 6th, 2021.

VIRTUAL POSTER PRESENTATION

There will be a dedicated Virtual Poster Session on 22^nd January 2021, where authors will connect and join a Virtual Room, having the possibility to present their Poster content for 5 minutes, to meet with other participants and answer their questions.

The deadline to send the Poster is January 6th, 2021.

Authors of synchronous presentations of Papers, Pecha Kucha and Posters will receive an author Certificate of Participation by e-mail after the conference dates.
